WHAT IS SPEECH THERAPY
Speech-Language Pathology is also known as Speech Therapy. It is the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of differences associated with the full range of human communication areas including speech, language, social communication and cognitive communication. Speech-Language Pathologists (also known as Speech Therapists) are licensed, nationally certified and require a master’s degree.
How it Works
Our Speech Therapists are available in the comfort and convenience of your own home via online telehealth sessions via Zoom or in person at select locations. One of our top rated, licensed Speech-Language Pathologists will complete your initial consultation. Clients appropriate for telehealth sessions are typically between 4 years of age to adulthood. We are licensed in many states and backed by over two decades of experience. Speech Within Reach is dedicated to making a difference by providing compassionate speech therapy.
Speech Therapy Consultation
The Speech-Language Pathologist will discuss your needs, answer your questions, and conduct basic screening procedures as needed to determine if a more in-depth evaluation and/or therapy service are necessary.
If an assessment was previously completed, please provide a copy to the therapist.
Speech Therapy Assessment
We complete the applicable testing to determine the specific areas of need. The assessment findings will be discussed as well as determine if speech therapy is recommended. The evaluation will be sent with the assessment outcomes.
Speech Therapy Sessions
Speech Therapy sessions are typically 25 or 50 minutes in duration with weekly, bi-weekly or tri-weekly session frequencies. Speech Within Reach does consider other therapy durations and frequencies based on the specific needs of each individual client.
We deliver personalized one-on-one online telehealth therapy through Zoom in the convenience and comfort of your own home allowing our clients to quickly reach their speech therapy goals, as well as in person home session at select locations. Sessions are virtually created with the individual’s specific needs, age and interests in mind.
